Virtual surprise birthday party

This year my wife turned the wonderful age of 50. We have been married nearly 30 years and after 33 birthdays, 23 Mother's Days, 34 Valentines and Christmas', I was out of ideas for this special occasion. My goal was let all of her friends share this special occasion from across the country-making a surprise party out of the question.(plus my experience is that she always found out about the surprise parties well in advance) I had an idea of a personal website to celebrate her birthday and along with it, invite all of her friends to send a private email that would be presented on her birthday. It turned out great. She was totally surprised, there were nearly 150 emails received from all over globe, many from friends not seen in years. It was a great surprise.

It also took me about 2 months of planning and many hours of preparation. What we learned from this experience we are bringing to you, saving you time and expense. We have reduced the upfront effort and expense of creating the website and emails.
