Minnie's Candy Land Centerpieces
by: Krista Blaes

Minnie Mouse is adorable and I just love her polka-dot dress. I keep planning to have a polka-dot tea party, but haven?t gotten to it yet. But that?s something for you to consider. There are cute teapots at www.theafternoon.com. I recommend either the red and white or pink and white polka-dots depending on Minnie's dress. Put floral styrofoam inside and build an awesome bouquet of lollipops and candy and place a Minnie Mouse in the center or in front. At www.candywarehouse.com you?ll find a great selection of lollipops, some are flowers, others are pinwheel striped. The possibilities are endless. You can even shop their site by color preference which is helpful.

Why not build an actual Candy Land down the center of your table? Start by placing a 2-inch thick Styrofoam sheet down the middle. Cut to size if need be. Put an artificial grass tablecloth on top from www.windycitynovelties.com. Insert an assortment of different sized and shaped lollipops on each side. Add graham crackers down the center to make a path. Edge the lane with gumdrops or any type of candy. Put a Minnie Mouse toy of your choice on the lane and add a ginger bread house.

Or, purchase three varying sizes of round hatboxes in the color and pattern of your choice. Stack them like a layered wedding cake. Decorate with candy, lollipops, ribbon or lace and use Minnie Mouse as the cake topper. If you want more height, add helium filled balloons. Just poke a hole in the top tier, pull the strings through and knot.

You can even make candy garlands. Buy colorful, wrapped candies and use a needle and fine fishing line to string together.

It is a great theme and there is no limit to what you can do. I hope these suggestions prove helpful.

Best of Luck
