Activities

Message in a bottle treasure hunt contest

Gather items that would belong to each character, have a guessing contest for whom the item belongs to

Lost trivia contest

Pull lottery tickets out of a hat for a door prize, such as the stuffed polar bear or inflatable raft

Invitations/Printables

Design Oceanic air boarding passes with personalized party information such as date, time, place.

Another great idea is to visit your local travel agency for Australian travel brochures. Attach your invitation to the brochure to set the stage for your island paradise party.

Music

Caribbean music should be played in the background. Reggae music also fits in as well. Even though Jimmy Buffett isn't technically Pacific Rim, he is well known for a tropical paradise theme!

Food & Drink

A potluck dinner based on the characters is a great way to spark everyone's creativity. Have each guest bring an item that a character is known for. Here are a few ideas:

Locke- Pulled pork or other "gamey" cuisine (for the wild boar hunter that he is)
Jin- Sushi (remember the early episodes when he gathered raw fish & attempted to share?)
Sun- Korean vegetable recipes like Kim Chee or fresh salad (from her garden)
Claire- Peanut butter cookies or ice cream with peanut butter topping (peanut butter- her favorite)
Hurley- Fried chicken (he most recently worked at a fast food fried chicken restaurant)
Sayid- Middle eastern cuisine or side dishes, such as Timman (Iraqi rice dish)
Charlie- Lemon poppy seed muffins
Sawyer- Shot sized liquor bottles (from airplanes) and candy cigarettes

If you find it easier, stick with Hawaiian or tropical fare:

Here is an idea for a Lost cake, submitted by Ashley from CA:

Make your favorite layered dessert in a trifle bowl. Top with whip cream. Sprinkle crushed oreo cookies on top (or any dark cookie that looks like dirt). buy a toy plain and cut in half (styrofoam planes from the dollar store work great). Stick each half of the plane into the dessert to make it look like it crashed!

Serve tropical drinks such as Margaritas, Mai Tais, Pina Coladas, Bahama Mamas, and Frozen Daiquiris.

Be sure to have Hawaiian punch on hand for the non-alcoholic set as well as water for all.
