Italian Party Theme

Bring a bit of Italy home with an Italian party theme served family style. One great way to create an Italian inspired atmosphere is to engage in the fine foods and wine of Italy and serve it family style to your closest friends.

Plan your meal according to your tastes and your guests. With a wide variety of foods to choose from, create your favorites to share with your special guests.

See our Italian party recipe cookbook for tons of recipe ideas.

We also recommend the delicious Secret Restaurant Copycat Recipe Cookbook with recipes from Applebee’s, Cheesecake Factory, Red Lobster, Benihana, Olive Garden, and many other popular restaurants.

Cooking doesn't have to be complicated. You'll also want to treat your guests to a fine Italian wine. If you need help here, there are a number of resources online, or check with your local vendor. The experts are more than happy to help!

Check out the guide Make Wine From Home to wow your friends with your own home made wine!

If it's a warm season, consider hosting your party outdoors. Transform your patio or table into an Italian feast with decorations of green, white, and red, the colors of the Italian flag. Bunches of grapes, whether real or fake, are a fun addition to the table.

Great Itlaina party supplies include attractive bottles of oil and vinegar for both eating and decoration. Decorate with vines, real or fake. Make your own out of specialty papers found at most craft stores. You can also make "leaves" easily out of green tissue paper, and tie them onto a rope or vine with green wire, also available at a craft store. For larger decorations, use cut outs from poster board to make vines, leaves, and grapes. If you have posters of Italy or the flag, include these as well.

Play some Italian music in the background. You might want to choose a famous Italian singer, such as Pavarotti, or use a compilation CD with a variety of music. Whichever you choose, it will serve to set the tone.

I hope the Italian party theme page helped spark some fun ideas for your upcoming celebration!
