Harem Party

When the Sultan's away the harem will play was the theme for a ladies only Summer party. By design, the event pampered guests with delectable appetizers and desserts as well as entertainment and party gifts. Guests were encouraged to wear harem like attire. The event colors were white and gold.

A private patio was converted into a harem paradise. A gazebo was set with a single bed covered in silky fabrics and topped with satin pillows. A round and rectangle table were set up outside as well and covered with white linens. Gold organza sashes were tied to the backs of the white folding chairs. Gold mosaic lanterns were placed on each table and used on the buffet inside the house as well.

Inside, a catered feast of Mediterranean foods and decadent desserts were provided. Fruit drink shooters were iced and set in bowls.

After guests were seated outside, a professional belly dance instructor entertained them with a performance and then provided dance instruction.

As a parting gift, a bowl of Bon-Bon and Lollipop Lip Gloss, and heart shaped lipgloss rings were set out. Many ladies wore the lipgloss rings throughout the evening.

The event was a big hit and friends still bring it up from time to time.
