Golf theme birthday party

Hi Krista!

Thank you for taking the time to help me answer my question. I need to decorate my Uncle's 50th birthday party. It suppose to be semi-formal with a golf theme. There are three rooms I need to decorate: kitchen, dinning room and the front entrance that is very large. I thought of placing a party favour table near the front door so guest can take one as they leave. And using gossamer to decorate the top of the tables. Other than that I am lost because many of the gold supplies I find for parties is made out of paper and will stick out like a sore thumb in a semi-formal theme.
Please help. I know what can really affect decoration is the details.

I would play up the golf theme. Use fake grass for table coverings. There are fake grass tablecloths available thru party stores online. If you want to have gold decor, try spray painting golf balls and tees and use to decorate tables.

Continue the theme by creating tee flags for the food table to mark different dishes.

For extra fun, setup a putting green and have guests putt for inexpensive, fun prizes.

The parting gift table sounds great. You could give away bags of chocolate mini golf balls.
