costumes for italian theme party

we are aparty of 5 senior ladies that take turns hosting a themed party. We are called MEGS (stands for meet, eat and games. We started in June 2008 and had country, baseball, gansters, ztropical and depression days for example. The next party is to be and Ital;ian theme...what should we wear?

A few ideas, try dressing as Gondoliers with the red and white striped long-sleeved shirts, dark pants and straw hats. Dress as chefs or Old World Mafia. Have fun!
