Bikers and babes theme

I will be throwing a bikers and babes theme party next May and want to plan now. I will be renting a hall-I have people coming from out of town-there will be adults and kids attending so I have to keep it clean. I've got a few decorating ideas-I'm thinking of going with the color scheme of black, silver and pink. i'd like to have a special corner for the kids with a child minder for extra help-need a few ideas to keep the kids entertained. It is a 40th for my husband.I'd like it to be a fun party for all so I don't want people to be bored so I'd like ideas for adult games and prize ideas. Food ideas to keep costs down but still feed about 60-80 people. The dress code is of course bikers and babes and it doesn't matter who dresses as what. Extra decorating ideas?? Large halls tend to look so bare. We will also be having a live band.

Bikers and Babes party ideas

when setting up an event in a larger space, you always worry about filling it nicely and affordably.

The kid's area is the perfect start. I'd have the area designed as a Pit Stop or Maintenenace Shop. Encourage kids to design a motorcycle and hold a contest. Just cut main pieces in different color stock or foam so they can color and assemble their masterpieces. Give gifts to the top 3 designs.

For adult games and Activities, play off the theme and see how much your guests know about the glory days of bikers.

If you want to appeal to the younger audience setup a Wii motorcycle game and give prizes to the winners. It iwll keep them occupied for a long time.

For decorations you could have dew rags on the tables as centerpieces tied around flowers. Or, use them as napkins. It would be fun to use spike dog collars to add a biker touch to vases of flowers.

If your heart's desire is to transform the large space you are using. Look into special lighting. It can transform a room. And is becoming more affordable.

Best wishes for a wonderful, fun event.
