80s Theme Party Planner
by: Krista

What a fun party theme! For decorations, think neon colors in green, pink and yellow, a true trademark of the 1980s. Add hot items from the decade such as Rubik?s Cubes,
Setup a Blast from the Past table. Put clear acrylic table cover, easily found at fabric stores, print out photos of classic 1980s musicians, TV personalities and movie stars. Include fun trivia related to the decade and top it off, with print outs of the hot items from the period like the Rubik?s Cube, Walkman, and cassette tapes.

Or, print and frame famous faces from the 80s like Madonna, Duran Duran, Don Johnson, Rick Springfield and Devo. Or, if you really want to make a statement, purchase hat mannequin figures from a retail store supply website such as: www.triodisplay.com. Deck them out with neon colored punk rock wigs and sunglasses and use them as a backdrop for your food table. You can even purchase ones that hang on the wall.

For menu items, provide beverages like Tab, RC, Shasta, Kool-Aid, Tang or Ghostbuster?s EctoPlasm Punch (neon green of course). Serve foods inspired by popular movies like Breakfast Club Sandwiches, Tootsie Jello Jigglers, Miami Vice Snack Mix, and Sixteen Candles Cake.

Have a grab bowl of party favors ranging from mini rubix cubes, Jelly bracelets and rings, neon sunglasses, small bags of Reese?s Pieces, Pop Rocks and spike bracelets.

Afraid guests won?t get in the spirit? Have an 80s style bar. Buy cheap costume items like fingerless fishnet gloves, various neon-colored hair sprays, Jelly bracelets, Wayfarer sunglasses, and more.

Hope your party is a huge success!
